The climate is more agreeable and drier than by the sea. The air by the coast is saturated with salt crystals which leave a film on the skin and can mix with the Ayurvedic oils to detrimental effect. This salt and the particularly intensive sun rays in coastal areas, intensified by reflections from the sand and sea, can cause unwelcome and dangerous skin irritations. In combination with the salt, Ayurvedic oils and bombarding UVA and UVB rays, chemical agents in strong sun protection cream may also trigger allergies. As a consequence, the desired regeneration and rejuvenation of your skin is not achieved. |
